Sushi Shin by Miyakawa

Sushi Shin by Miyakawa is the first Tokyo branch restaurant of Hokkaido’s Michelin three-star Sushi Miyakawa. Chef Miyakawa has trained the team of master chefs at Sushi Shin by Miyakawa in his style that embodies the best of traditional Edomae-style sushi with ingredients, sourced daily from Hokkaido and Tokyo’s Toyosu market.
This exquisite location with nine seats on the 38th floor of the hotel features over 350 years old Hinoki cypress sushi counter, and a stunning view of Tokyo Skytree and the surrounding skyline. Guests enjoy observing and interacting with our master chefs as each dish is crafted before them from the world’s selective ingredients.

Raw fish is a key ingredient in each meal served at Sushi Shin by Miyakawa.
We are unable to offer a menu free of raw ingredients or gluten.

The restaurant, located on the 38th floor, serves authentic Italian flavours in a laid-back setting. Start the day with a delicious breakfast from the extensive buffet showcasing classic Western and Japanese fare, or order from our extensive à la carte menu.
For a relaxed, refined lunch or dinner, we serve a delicious selection of authentic Italian cuisine served in a contemporary style. Traditional specialities including homemade pastas, classic salads and classic Italian desserts are all on offer.

Competing for attention with the food are, of course, the views: tables offer panoramic vistas across the Tokyo skyline, with the iconic triangular peak of Mount Fuji visible in the distance on clear days.

The Pizza Bar on 38th

The perfect spot for a relaxed, informal-and unwaveringly delicious-bite to eat is The Pizza Bar on 38th. Sit around an eight-seat square marble top counter and watch our master pizza makers prepare what are, quite possibly, the best pizzas in town. Cooked to perfection in a brick oven before guests, the pizzas are then served on trademark rustic wooden boards.

The secret behind their tastiness? The original pizza dough is made with Italian organic flour, using just one gram of yeast and 80 per cent water for a 48-hour fermentation, resulting in an unusually light and digestible pizza crust.

Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo’s elegant Oriental Lounge―located just off the main Lobby area on the 38th floor―offers a soothing respite from fast-paced Tokyo life. Against a luxurious backdrop of rich textiles, dark woods, Oriental lanterns―and, of course, beautiful views across Tokyo―guests can relax over delicious breakfasts served here daily. Other highlights include its perfectly composed Afternoon Tea, High Tea sets and after-dinner snack. After dark, the candlelit space is the perfect spot to enjoy a cocktail while soaking up views of a sparkling nocturnal Tokyo through the windows.

Tapas Molecular Bar

More of a culinary performance than a mere meal, dining at the Tapas Molecular Bar is an unforgettable experience. Talented chefs at the intimate restaurant treat up to eight diners at a time to a spectacular two-hour menu, showcasing the most cutting-edge of innovative molecular cuisine. Centre stage is a string of bite-sized delicacies which promise to surprise and delight, pushing conventional boundaries in terms of new textures and flavour combinations, stimulating both the imagination and the palate.

For an authentic taste of Cantonese cuisine in a striking contemporary setting, head to Sense. The 37th-floor restaurant serves an artful array of masterfully created dishes. Its décor, created by designer Ryu Kosaka, is as breathtaking as the cuisine; modern, clean-lined with splashes of vivid fuschia pink and a delicate lotus motif, it is bathed in natural sunlight by day, giving way to sparkling urban panoramas across Tokyo by night.

In addition to our à la carte menu, we also serve popular Dim Sum on weekends and public holidays. There are three private rooms: two accommodating up to eight people and one for up to 18 people.

Sense Tea Corner

Signature French Fine Dining

Creatively composed menus focus on the finest ingredients mainly from across Japan, paying full respect to both the seasons and regional flavours, combined with luxurious attention to detail in dry ageing techniques, resulting in depths of flavour that are as transformative as they are innovative.

The joy of savouring each individual dish is enhanced further by the restaurant's elegant contemporary décor: tables are intimately partitioned by silver screens, with the interior bathed in soft sunlight during the day or lit up by a sparkling urban skyline after dark.

The Cellar Private Dining

A secret spiral staircase at the 37th-floor Mandarin Bar leads down to perhaps one of the hotel’s most treasured collections: a hidden cellar that is home to 5,000-plus bottles of the world’s most exclusive and high-quality wines. Chefs at Signature and Sense have created a series of bespoke French and Cantonese menus for a special Cellar dining experience, inspired by the concept of ‘Authentic Cuisine?. Private lunch and dinner events are available on request. Advance reservations are required.

It’s all about cocktails of the most expertly crafted variety at our Mandarin Bar on the 37th floor. With its atmospheric décor and live jazz performances after dark, it’s the perfect setting for an early evening aperitif or a post-dinner cocktail. The menu catalogues an exhaustive array of unique cocktails, as created by our award-winning Bar Manager, many consisting of a modern Japanese take on traditional classics.

Ventaglio

Ventaglio is a vibrant buffet restaurant offering authentic cuisine for both lunch and dinner. The menu features different culinary styles, showcasing a range of exciting international cuisine accompanied by a choice of unique global wines.
Round off the meal by stopping at the dessert counter with its delectable treats.

The Mandarin Oriental Gourmet Shop

Located at ground level overlooking the main street Chuo Dori, The Mandarin Oriental Gourmet Shop is a contemporary boutique offering an array of culinary treats, both sweet and savoury, as well as hot drinks. Creations showcased in the store—which offers take-away as well as seated service—range from carefully crafted cakes, artisanal chocolates and handmade pastries to artisanal breads, premium jams and deli salads, as created by the hotel’s talented team of in-house chefs.
The coffee menu was expertly masterminded by Tokyo’s famed award-winning barista, while an array of exclusive Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo Original Blend tea is also on offer. It’s also the perfect spot for souvenirs, with an extensive collection of beautifully packaged Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo gifts, including pound cakes, granola and cookies.
